Torrevieja is located 50 kilometers south of Alicante with 100 thousand inhabitants and is
a well known holiday resort.
The city has a specific location as it lies between the sea and the two
salty lagoons, which creates a unique microclimate. High in salt and more
minerals has a health effect on the skin, respiratory and immune systems. Thanks
this can be proud of the recognition of the WHO, which confirmed that Torrevieja is
one of the healthiest places in the world. The pink lake is part of the park
nature de Las Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja, is the largest of its kind in Europe and
one of the few in the world. Why is the pink lake that color? Due to
microalgae, halobacteria and crustaceans. It is this microflora that gives the lake and
pink flamingos feeding therein.
Torrevieja is one of the largest salt producers in Europe with several
points where it is extracted, stored and shipped around the world by road
land and sea.
The resort has a very nice promenade with many cafes, restaurants,
ice cream parlors and shops. Next to the promenade there is a pier from which you can
enjoy great views of the sea and the yacht harbor. In addition to the huge number
bars, restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, Torrevieja offers for those looking for excitement

promenades, summer open-air discos where thousands of people enjoy themselves. Torrevieja
